My name is George Tisza-Kalmar. I was born in Budapest in 1952. I started my studies in representational painting under the guidance of Rebé Benkő, a teacher of arts. Later I continued my studies with the help of Jenő Barcsay, the highly acclaimed professor of the University of Fine Arts. I am also thankful to sculptor Miklós Borsos for his assistance. I went on with my studies in London in 1979. I moved to Vienna in 1985. I had exhibitions in London, Vienna, Munich and Budapest. I am the member of the National Association of Hungarian Creative Artists, and the Association of Hunagrian Artists of Fine Arts and Crafts. I was lucky to be encouraged by great and legendary artists. On my first exhibition I was incited by Tamás Losonczy. I was in personal acquaintance with Menyhért Tóth. For some time my exhibitions used to be opened by Pál Gerzson, the president of the Department of Representative Painting at the University of Fine Arts. Lately, my exhibitions have been opened by Balázs Feledy, dr, author, the manager of Vigadó Gallery. I was captured by the beauty of Káli-Basin, and live in a nearby small village named Diszel.
